Hello, it is a great opportunity to introduce myself. I am Rosa Vélez, a tutor and teacher with a degree in Spanish with extensive international experience in teaching as a second language to groups and individuals of all ages and levels in Yemen, Cuba, Jamaica and Great Britain. I speak English and Arabic (C2 level).
I am sure we have something in common: we like to travel and meet people from all over the world. We are communicators.
I adapt my methodology to the needs of an individual. Being a native Spanish speaker and a learner of other languages, I can understand all those with motivations to learn and adapt each lesson for different ways of learning.
My greatest happiness in my profession is to observe the progress of my students.

I was born in Cuba, a beautiful island. If you’ve never been there… Then you should visit it as soon as possible!. That is where I grew up surrounded by passionate, braves and friendly family and friends and where I discovered that teaching was my passion. I decided to study Computer Science and Technology. During my career I signed as a Computer Science teacher for elementary school working with students from (K - 6) for 8 years. When I had finished my studies, as an Engineer. I decided to stay working at college as a part time position Computer Science tutor while I was working during the weekday in an enterprise as a Director of the IT Department.
I moved to USA in 2004. In 2006, I opened an after School Enrichment Bilingual program "AAC Aprendiendo a Color" for elementary students hosted in Atlanta public and private schools, focus in a variety hands on STEAM based projects in a foreign language, and recently an online school Español Latino for kids and adults.
I am a teacher with almost 20 years experience, teaching a range of subjects, abilities and ages. Former tutor of Atlanta International School an excellent school that help me group and reach my potential as a tutor and teacher. I am extremely creative, accurate, precise and eager to help you reach your goals. I love to work with kids and adults!! My lessons are fun, dynamic and challenge. I have a specific teaching curriculum with an emphasis on conversation, customized lessons and problem solver!. I believe learning a new language should be a joyful experience and one that will be a positive change in your life. My classes are for all levels – it doesn’t matter if you are a total beginner! For most students, 2 hours of online Spanish classes a week is helpful in making progress. I want my students to reach their goals and aspirations while having a wonderful time!
