Español Latino offers a variety of study options in all levels (K-Adult), from beginner to advanced, and all forms from private tutoring, online classes to group lessons with expert tutors and a unique standards-based curriculum we've developed. Responsibilities:
This remote role is initially a part-time contractor position with the possibility to develop into a full-time role.
Manage a recruiting process to attract and hire amazing online tutors. This including writing and posting job descriptions, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting interviews, setting up tutor test sessions, managing the candidate evaluation process and completing background and reference checks. Ensure our process is compliant with all relevant HR and legal requirements.
Onboard and train new tutors so they can be successful from their first lesson. This includes helping them through an onboarding process, including work authorization (I-9) validation, setting up payroll and writing tutor profiles.
Lead ongoing tutor training and review processes to help tutors constantly improve their skills. This includes coordinating reviews of tutors’ lessons, monitoring and ensuring compliance with our standards, and developing training programs for tutors, leveraging internal and external resources.
Help respond to tutor support questions and emails.
Requirements
Education and experience:
Masters degree preferred. Course work that required extensive writing.
2-5 years of human resources or management experience.
Experience interviewing and hiring online language tutors.
Knowledge of employment law pertaining to hiring as evidenced by work experience or training.
Experience as a language tutor or teacher a plus.
Personal qualifications:
An ability to spot great candidates
Interested in children’s education and foreign language learning
Excellent English writing skills including writing, spelling and grammar and strong presentation skills.
Extraordinary attention to detail and excellent organization and prioritization skills; nothing falls through the cracks.
Self-starter and initiative-taker with creative ideas.
Extremely empathetic and customer focused.
Proficiency in a second language (Spanish, French, etc.) preferred.
Eagerness to learn and take on more responsibilities.
Highest level of personal integrity and trustworthiness.
Excellent references.
Benefits
Hours:
Part-time contractor, 20-30 hours per week with the possibility to develop into a full-time role.
Benefits:
$16-$22 per hour, depending on experience
